40th Anniversary Party -ROCHE BOBOIS

The Roche Bobois 40th Anniversary party began at 6 and I was running late. Chauffeured by yellow cab and wearing my new powder blue suit by Hugo Boss,  I started thinking about how much I like Roche Bobois parties, furniture and promotional ploys.

When describing the look of Roche-Bobois, the designs are luxurious and comfortable. Modern, yet timeless. There is a strong sense of pared-down elegance that is tastefully carried out with each and every piece.  The Madison Avenue showroom is breathtaking with 30' columns and ornate moldings that embellish the expansive space.

I wasn't the only late arrival - the velvet rope was up and there were quite a few people waiting for the gorgeous clipboard lady to nod them through.   I love big parties they're so intimate - and this party was huge.  More than 600 design enthusiast converged and all seemed to have the same question . . .

How BIG is this showroom?

Upstairs, downstairs, east wing, interior corridor - it was a fabulous design maze and I had the pleasure having "jet-set"
Interior Designer, Ally Coulter escort me through.

She graciously introduced me to almost all the Roche Bobois dignitary .  She showed me the fully stocked Bastille Whiskey bar location.   We hopped downstairs to meet DJ Natasha. We indulged in savory treats by Pinch Food Design.  We posed for "smilebooth.com" photos with Holiday House Maven, Iris Dankner and even danced to my favorite song "I Want It All" by Karmin.  Okay, we twerked but discretely.

While I'm thinking about it . . . a special acknowledgement to Katharina Plath - her stellar events are always designed for maximum enjoyment.  The step-and-repeat STAGE was genius and coaxed many design stars like Barbara Friedman, Sabine Rothman and Jamie Drake to pose for pictures.

The Ally Coulter Excursion throughout the glamorous Roche Bobois showroom was a captivating visual and social delight.  I can't wait to do it again !
