Don't you dare click on the adorable Easter promotion and Pottery Barn link or at least not until you've seen the party pictures below. . .

Housing Works Design on a Dime
KICK OFF . . .

The Pottery Barn Store on 1965 Broadway @ 67th hosted the Design on a Dime 11th Annual "kick off party".

More than 270 designers, style enthusiasts and Housing Works Supporters gathered at the largest Pottery Barn I've ever seen in Manhattan.  I think it has a subway entrance ??

The Design on a Dime team, lead by the congenial Mel Alvarez  gathered  60 of the country's leading interior designers. They will curate, decorate, design and dictate room vignettes for the 11th annual auction benefit.
The caveat is that all the items are donations from a variety of prestigious, practical and profound artists and commercial design firms.

This year's event is bound to be stellar.
Patrick Hamilton returns for what will no doubt be a triumphant installation.  Corey Damen Jenkins a Michigan based Designer is debuting his talents.  Ron Marvin whose room last year was beyond chic returns for what I'm sure will be another visual delight. TV Personality Libby Langdon known for her smart and charming interiors will give the gentlemen a good run for their money.

Back at the Barn . .. I had a spirited conversation with design notables like Founding Chair James Huniford, TV Personality George Oliphant, Interior Designers Robin Baron and Julie Schuster.  The tray pass hors d' oeurvres (goat cheese turnovers and turkey meatballs) were delicious.  There seemed to be a bar at every corner of the vast store.Shout out to the Pottery Barn team who are the nicest and most graceful group of retailers on the upper west side of Manhattan. Thank you Housing Works and Pottery Barn for the terrific kick off party.
