This year's Spring Gala (Garden of Eden)took place at

 Cipriani 42nd Street

The Lenox Hill Neighborhood House

was thrilled to

 honor longtime Board member and

 Neighborhood House supporter Juan Sabater

 for his outstanding

contributions. The Spring Gala, sponsored by

VERANDA magazine, featured table tops

 individually decorated by interior designers,

making it a unique

 and stunning event.

Lenox Hill Neighborhood House is

one of New York’s

 premier nonprofit organizations,

 begun 120 years ago.

I arrived early this year. Cipriani 42nd Street is a grand venue for large, sophisticated events. The "Garden of Eden" table displays were created by well known interior designers each providing their own interpretation to the theme. More than 600 guests who would arrive within the next hour to dine at decorated round tables adorned with magnificent flowers, snakes, apples, semi-nude models (Adam and Eve) and lush green leaves with wilderness branches.  There was also a dance floor in the 13,000 sq. ft. party room.

Before my camera battery expired, I spotted a few design celebrities starting to arrive;  Michael McGraw, Stacey Holston Bewkes, Tamara Stephenson, Jonathan Legate, Byron James-Rodrigues, Becki Vicars, Robin Baron, Harry Heissmann, Christina Juarez, Antonino Buzzetta and Julie Schuster.
