Who knew the Scholastic Building had such a great venue for an indoor outdoor soiree.

Following the success of its inaugural event last year, DIFFA  hosted its second Picnic By Design event in which attendees purchased a original crafted basket conceived by New York’s top designers and shared dinner atop the roof of the Scholastic Building in Soho.

Patrick Hamilton, Dwayne Clark, Douglas Morris, Ron Marvin, Jana Weill, Cherie Bustamante were some of the design industry favorites at the event. Alla Harrington was spotted at the Mojita Bar making her own Patron cocktail.

Corey Damen Jenkins had a clever “Motown” theme picnic arrangement - Diana Ross however was not seen at the event.

Picnic by Design included an opportunity to win tickets to Dwell and New York Magazine’s second annual City Modern week, and cocktails following dinner. Baskets were purchased online—and sold out quickly! Other sponsors for the event were Robert Allen, Starbucks, Maya Romanoff, and New York Design Center.
