Sold Out - Walker Tower luxury condominiums have all been sold.  There are two remaining units currently being negotiated but all other units in the stunning, 24 story Art Deco building have found owners.

Hearst Publications sponsored a showhouse of sorts using 3 truly special units in the glamorous building. The design industry and design loving friends were able to wander about beautiful apartments and discover the architectural delights, breath-taking views and cleverly appointed rooms by the talented, well known designers..... Jamie Drakes' colorful "Josephine Baker" inspired apartment for House Beautiful, Alessandra Brancas' chic and timeless penthouse for Elle Decor and Carlos Aparicio minimal transitional space for House Beautiful.

The Designer Visions party was smooth as the glass tile floors.  The 260+ attendees enjoyed plenty of wine, hors d'ouevres and expressions of pure pleasure.

James has a quick and funny discussion with the bartender who seemed a little
light handed with the wine portions - the bartender indicated he was pouring "tastings".
If you could take anything from Alessandra Brancas' beautiful library, what
would you take? Steve Rappos of Knoll Textiles shows me his choice . . ..

ABOUT WALKER TOWER

Ralph Thomas Walker, who was hailed in The New York Times as the “architect of the century,” designed Walker Tower, which was completed in 1929.

Walker Tower has now been transformed into 50 luxury condominium residences that incorporate the building’s original design details and includes all of the conveniences of modern, upscale residential living.

The building’s elaborate brick facade has been painstakingly restored, as has the Art Deco ornamentation that Ralph Walker made famous through architectural masterpieces such as One Wall Street and the Barclay-Vesey Building.

Built before neighborhood height limits were enacted, Walker Tower rises high above its surroundings and features stunning and protected 360-degree Manhattan views, soaring ceilings and large tilt-and-turn windows.

More than half of the residences have private terraces and there are 11 units with wood burning fireplaces.

All units feature radiant floor heating throughout the entire residence, French herringbone oak flooring, Crestron Home Automation System, Smallbone kitchens, marble bathrooms with Waterworks fixtures and steam showers.

This Landmark building will be a jewel to the city skyline for a long, long time.
