It was a cold, blistery winter night in NYC.  A dinner for the legendary artist and man of the NY Art Scene Scooter LaForge at Maison O was a throwback to the best days of NY nightlife. Food, drink and conversation for 50 of NY's fashion crazed people !

Our table had two goals;  recognizing the talented artist Scooter LaForge and a surprise birthday celebration for the iconic philanthropist, Mel Alvarez.   Good food and good humor kept the classic group of New Yorkers like; Elizabeth Butlin, Patrick Hamilton, Greg Gregaris, Chauncey Dandridge, Cannon Schuab, Donald and Katherine Lanziero, Walt Cessna, Rachel Singer, Scott Hug, and around the room Paul E Alexander, Viva Ruiz Machine, Dazzle Flower, Amanda Lepore, Stanley Love, and many others..

I met a wonderful group of new friends and was pleasantly reminded that the star studded velvet mafia of NYC still exists.  This is a new club night hosted by Sloan and will probably become monthly!!!

A special birthday shout out to Mel Alavarez who has been a supportive friend and well connected colleague. And, a special thank you to Chauncey Dandridge for coordinating the memorable evening.
