Thursday, September 18th 5:16pm 68 degrees

200 Lexington Avenue
The New York Design Center - has just snagged the crown for best building party.  The energy was amazing.  The visuals were stylish and chic.
More than 70 Design showrooms played host to thousands of well dressed design enthusiasts.

The 6th annual "What's New, What's Next" should also be called "What Not To Miss".  Seriously.

The building was filled with the country's top Interior Designers like Robert Passal, Roger Thomas, Philip Gorrivan, Amanda Nisbet, Brett Beldock, Windsor Smith . .. I could go on ... . Alexa Hampton, Clodogh, Sara Gilbane were all sharing creative design stories.

Magazine Editors like charming Michael Boodro and resplendent Cindy Allen were celebrating books and showroom openings.

New showrooms like John Richard and Lepere opened with fresh ideas that garnered huge crowds.

One of my favorite design gentleman . .. Jim Druckman, President and CEO, New York Design Center has molded his 16 floor structure into an impressive design edifice . . . . .An environment to resource good business and
a place to be seen.

We started our evening at NYDC at the Profiles Showroom where Architectural Digest Decorative Arts and Antiques Editor Mitchell Owens introduced

prominent artist Hunt Slonem who discussed his newly published book from ASSOULINE.

"When Art Meets Design".

We finished our evening at McGuire Showroom where a genius group of design professionals organized an event using three of my favorite words . .. . designdrinkup.
and we did.  Thank you New York Design Center for organizing a great event that launched hundreds of new careers and thousands of networking opportunities.
